What methods can I use to withdraw funds from my account?

Withdrawals available via check (free) or wire (fee); must use same bank account per AML rules.

Withdrawals can be made by check or bank wire. For all non-IRA accounts, you may withdraw any portion of your available balance at any time.

  • Bank Wire — $25 fee; the fastest withdrawal option. New bank accounts require a 48-hour hold after wire instructions are added to your account.
  • Check — Free of charge and mailed to any verified address via standard mail.

Please note that per AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws, funds must be returned to the same bank account used to originally fund your GBI Direct account, and the bank account must be held in the same name as your GBI Direct account.

For IRA accounts, withdrawals must be processed through your custodian and may be subject to taxes or penalties.
